A second generation Italian-American, Lindsay Curcio has a great appreciation for the immigrant experience, genealogy and the history of immigration in the United States. Lindsay has been practicing immigration law since 1990. She was awarded a bachelor's degree from Northwestern University and a juris doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. She is admitted to practice in New York and Illinois and before the U.S. Supreme Court. She has worked for several nationally known law firms each with a practice limited to immigration law. Lindsay was awarded an LLM in transational commercial practice from Lazarski University/Center for International Legal Studies in 2014 and a master's degree in business administration from Fordham University in 1996. In October 2000, she established her own law office providing legal assistance with all types of nonimmigrant and immigrant business and family-related visa classifications as well as waiver applications (I-601, I-192 & J waivers), asylum, naturalization and relief from removal. Lindsay became an adjunct professor at New York Law School in January 2002, where she teaches immigration law courses. She was a Co-Director of the Safe Passage Immigration Project, an initiative of the Justice Action Center at New York Law School, from 2007 to 2012. She is a co-author of: Immigration and Nationality Law: Problems and Strategies, published by LexisNexis. Lindsay serves and has served on several committees for AILA (New York District and National) and speaks on the topic of U.S. immigration law at conferences throughout the U.S. and abroad.
