Matthew L. Guadagno has been practicing immigration law since 1997. He is a solo practitioner with an office in Manhattan. Mr. Guadagno specializes in deportation defense and federal litigation relating to immigration. Mr. Guadagno handles all types of cases for non-citizens with criminal history, including adjustment of status, naturalization, removal defense, and advice regarding the immigration consequence of a proposed plea agreement. He has argued numerous cases in the federal courts that have resulted in precedent decisions. Mr. Guadagno currently serves on the Amicus Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association and the Advisory Committee to Brooklyn Defenders. In September 2012, Mr. Guadagno was listed in the publication, Super Lawyers, for the fifth year in a row. Mr. Guadagno was an adjunct professor of law at the Fordham University School of Law in the Immigrant Rights and Access to Justice Clinic for the Spring 2011 semester. Mr. Guadagno is currently an adjunct professor at Brooklyn Law School teaching a course on deportation defense that he created.
