Matthew Blaisdell is a solo practitioner in Brooklyn, New York. He is Chair of the New York Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Chapter on Ethics and the Unauthorized Practice of Law, and serves on the national chapter of AILA's Consumer Protection and Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He frequently writes and presents on the topic of immigration fraud, and has provided testimony to several cities considering legislation to protect immigrant consumers. He also regularly provides trainings and lectures on topics including prosecutorial discretion, executive action, and how to interact with immigrant clients, and he remains active on these and other topics within the New York City and New York State Bar Associations. He received his juris doctor, as well as an LL.M in environmental law, from Pace Law School, and is a graduate of the New York City Environmental Law Leadership Institute (NYCELLI).
