He is a graduate of the City College of City University of New York Honors��� Program in Urban Legal studies where he obtained his BA (Phi Beta Kappa). He obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Cooley Law School, Michigan. At Cooley, he was the President of the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Attorney Maitland is a member of the state and federal courts in Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, National Organization of Social Security Claimants��� Representatives, Federalist Society, and Adventist Lawyers. ��Mr. Maitland worked with the government Disability Services Program, New York City, New York. At that program, he assisted thousands of indigent���s claimants seeking Federal disability benefits from the Social Security Administration from 1996 to 2010. Atty. Maitland has engaged in public interests law to help claimants with Social Security disability and immigration benefits.
